St. Joseph's Convent
Concrete Busters of Louisiana in collaboration with Donahue Favret Contractors undertook the demolition of the former convent and Mother House of the Sisters of St. Joseph. Heavily damaged by the effects of Hurrican Katrina, irreparable damage was ultimately done by a devastating fire before renovations could begin. Recognizing that this has been a sacred and holy place for many, it was important for operations to be done with respect. As a result, an extensive effort to recycle as much of the demolition materials as possible.
